HIPAA-Style Safeguards (U.S.)

  • Families may voluntarily disclose sensitive health, learning, or accommodation information to support admissions advising.
  • Such information is treated as confidential health-related information and safeguarded in line with HIPAA principles.
  • We do not share health-related information with colleges, universities, or third parties without explicit written consent.
  • Families may be asked to sign release forms authorizing Paideia Prestige to access, use, or store such information. These releases are required only when necessary to provide advising and are used solely for that purpose.
  • Electronic communications (e.g., email, advising portals) are secured to industry standards, though families should note that absolute confidentiality cannot be guaranteed via standard email.

GDPR Compliance (EU)

For clients residing in the European Union, we comply with GDPR requirements, including:

  • Data is processed lawfully, fairly, and transparently.
  • Personal data is collected only for specific, legitimate purposes.
  • Families have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of their data (“right to be forgotten”).
  • Data transfers outside the EU are managed through third-party providers (e.g., Google, Calendly, College Planner Pro) with appropriate safeguards.

  • Calendly → Contact details for scheduling.
  • Google Forms → Academic/personal info voluntarily provided.
  • Email/Direct Contact → Information shared in correspondence.
  • Cookies → Browsing data to improve site functionality.
  • College Planner Pro / Companion → Advising portal to manage applications, deadlines, and resources.

How We Use Data

  • To schedule and manage sessions
  • To tailor advising and provide resources
  • To deliver follow-ups and program materials
  • To improve services internally
